SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will support enterprise cybersecurity operations focused on protecting sensitive information, strengthening data security controls, and responding to security events across a hybrid enterprise environment. This role partners with technical and business teams to monitor threats, investigate incidents, support compliance initiatives, and enhance data governance and AI security practices.
Required Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Analyst:

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or a comparable security certification is required.
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and risk analysis.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions.
- Experience investigating security alerts, analyzing sensitive data access and movement, documenting findings, and escalating incidents according to established procedures.
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data classification, and secure data handling practices.
- Experience supporting security audits, compliance activities, and cybersecurity risk assessments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Cybersecurity Analyst:
- Microsoft SC-100, SC-200, CEH, Associate CISSP, or other advanced cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience with AI-focused security technologies and DSPM platforms supporting AI environments.
- Experience refining DLP policies, insider risk detection, or enterprise data governance initiatives.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure security, identity and access management, Conditional Access, and security automation or scripting.
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Analyst:
- Monitor, administer, and improve enterprise data protection controls, including DLP and AI data security initiatives.
- Investigate security alerts, insider risk events, and potential data exposure incidents while documenting findings and supporting incident response activities.
- Participate in vendor security assessments, third-party risk reviews, and remediation tracking.
- Support cybersecurity audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and control validation efforts.
- Prepare security reports, metrics, and recommendations while partnering with business and technical teams to address cybersecurity risks.
- Recommend and support improvements to security policies, procedures, and data governance practices.
Work Location: Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote in Columbia, South Carolina.
