Job Title: Financial Clearance Specialist
Job Location: Irwindale, CA 91706

Job Duties:
- Perform patient pre-registration by accurately collecting, verifying, and updating demographic, insurance, and financial information.
- Obtain prior authorizations and insurance approvals from commercial, government, and managed care payers for scheduled medical services.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, and referral requirements to ensure timely financial clearance.
- Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, insurance carriers, and patients to resolve authorization issues and prevent delays in patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems, insurance portals, and telecommunication tools to manage patient records, document authorizations, and maintain data accuracy.
- Manage multiple service lines simultaneously while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, payer guidelines, quality standards, and a positive patient experience.
- Performs other departmental duties as assigned, such as answering and making phone calls, managing incoming/outgoing faxes, organizing and filing departmental documents, data entry, etc.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years health insurance experience, authorization and Insurance verification experience required.
- The ability to communicate with physicians, patients, and health plans.
- Experience with electronic medical records, medical terminology, CPT codes and ICD-10 codes.
- Billing experience will be considered.
- At least 2 years front desk oncology practice experience registering patients and EPIC EMR experience.
- High School Diploma.
Schedule:
- Morning Shift
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 40 Hours per week
