American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU/Intermediate Care position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of current SICU experience and at least 2 prior travel assignments.

12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within a large academic hospital's Department of Surgery
-
Patient population includes trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, oncology, and general surgery post-surgical patients
-
Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
-
3 out of every 6 weekends required per 6-week schedule
-
2 on-call availability shifts per 6-week schedule
-
Holiday coverage required as needed

Epic EMR (preferred, not required)
-
Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
-
Active RN license — Maryland license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required
-
ACLS certification preferred
-
Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred

Trauma course completion preferred

Minimum 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience required
-
At least 2 previous travel assignments required

Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required

Epic EMR experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Active licensure and 1 professional reference required for consideration

Provides direct care to complex post-surgical and critically ill patients across a broad range of surgical specialties
