Candidate must have at least 12 ECU's, experience working with both infants and toddlers, be a team player and have an energetic personality. Summary
As an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant, you will support early childhood education by assisting lead teachers in daily classroom activities for infants and toddlers. You will help with age-appropriate instruction, supervision, and care, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Reporting to the classroom teacher or program supervisor, you will contribute to developmental milestones, implement established routines, and support policies on safety, documentation, and parent communication. Your role is essential in promoting positive learning experiences and growth for young children in a daycare or preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Support infants and toddlers with daily routines, including feeding, diapering/toileting, napping, and soothing as needed.
- Assist lead teachers with age-appropriate activities, circle time, and learning centers to promote development in language, social-emotional, and motor skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment; sanitize toys and surfaces regularly.
- Monitor children for health and safety concerns, report incidents promptly, and follow mandated reporting laws.
- Communicate with families about daily activities and progress; document observations to inform lesson planning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.43 - $22.40 per hour
