Aulestia Trucking is a growing, hands-on trucking company operating a mixed fleet including tankers, hoppers, and drayage equipment. We’re looking for a dependable, self-motivated mechanic to help keep our equipment safe, compliant, and on the road.
This role is ideal for someone who likes autonomy, problem-solving, and working directly with operations—not just wrenching in a shop all day.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Respond to service calls and breakdowns as needed
- Change tires (truck and trailer)
- Perform oil changes, inspections, and minor repairs
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues (lights, wiring, connectors, etc.)
- Service and inspect air brake systems
- Keep accurate service and maintenance records
- Communicate with management and drivers about equipment condition and repair needs
- Ensure all equipment meets DOT and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a diesel or fleet mechanic preferred
- Working knowledge of air brakes, basic electrical systems, and DOT requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus but not required)
- Comfortable with both shop work and on-road service calls
