American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring AHA-certified BLS and PALS and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Pediatric ICU unit in a hospital setting
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
-
Level 1 trauma experience is required

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary

Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders

Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including discharge planning

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible for a new contract

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — this facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines and does not allow start date adjustments for non-compliant travelers
