Position Overview
SCC Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth of SCC Inc’s industrial combustion control products. This role combines consultative selling with technical expertise of an engineer.
You will manage and grow a defined set of accounts, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the full sales cycle—from building customer curiosity to technical validation and closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue and deepen relationships within an assigned portfolio of accounts
- Travel domestically approximately 20-40% of the time
- Lead technical sales conversations by asking strong discovery questions and listening carefully to customer needs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing follow-ups via phone, email, and in-person meetings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Sales or customer-facing experience
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Positive, professional attitude with a high level of dependability

What Success Looks Like in Year 1
In your first year, success means building a strong foundation in combustion control systems, gaining exposure to real manufacturing environments, and growing confidence in customer-facing technical discussions.
You will begin contributing to active sales opportunities, supporting account growth, and learning how to guide customers through technical problem-solving. By year-end, you will be comfortable participating in and leading parts of customer conversations and independently visiting job sites.
Most importantly, you will be developing into a trusted resource for both customers and your internal team.
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
