Job Overview
JCK is seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR Generalist to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role will partner closely with leadership and employees to drive recruiting efforts, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and employee relations while helping foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
Duties
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and workplace concerns.
- Assist with conflict resolution and workplace investigations.
- Promote a positive, professional, and engaging work environment.
- Maintain documentation related to employee relations matters.
Performance Management
- Coordinate employee performance review processes.
- Support managers with performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives.
- Track performance evaluations and development goals.
- Assist with compensation and promotion review processes.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Update and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee and company information.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement activities.
- Assist with employee surveys and feedback initiatives.
- Support programs that improve morale, retention, and workplace satisfaction.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experiences.
- Support HR technology implementation and workflow enhancements.
- Recommend solutions that increase efficiency, compliance, and accountabil
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Prepare offer letters, employment documents, and onboarding materials.
- Ensure all new hire documentation is completed and maintained accurately.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist, Coordinator, or similar HR role.
- Knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification.
- Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, trucking, industrial services, or related industries.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
