Job Description
Alan Byer Volvo is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to work at one of the most successful New Car dealerships in Syracuse, NY.
Applicant must be tech savvy, currently employed as a technician and have a positive attitude. Automotive electrical experience is required. Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles is a plus. Hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. NO WEEKENDS! Must have at least 2 years of automotive repair experience and a NY State Inspection License. Current certifications are a plus!
Responsibilities
--Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
--Acquire the necessary Volvo training to reach Volvo Certified/Master Status
--Keep shop area neat and clean
--All other service and technical related duties
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be a team player and able to maintain a positive working attitude and environment
- Ability and Interest to learn new technology and features
- Ability to read/write simple correspondence as needed to Volvo
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products
- Record video walkarounds and send to customers
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Successfully pass a pre-employment motor vehicle and background check
- Ability to travel for Volvo training (all expenses covered)
- Flat Rate or Hourly compensation ($32 - $40)
- Monthly Performance Bonus - $3 to $8 additional per flat rate hour
Sign-on Bonus - $6,000 payable monthly for 6 months
Hourly pay and flat rate plans are available
401K Plan - 4% Employee contribution/2% Employer contribution

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
