Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and behavioral assessments for patients of all ages.
- Prescribe and manage medications within collaborative practice agreements, adhering to HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing.
- Proven experience working with behavioral health patients across diverse settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or assisted living facilities.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychopharmacology, and clinical research methodologies.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or Cerner for efficient medical documentation.
- Experience in acute care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, medication administration, and diagnostic evaluations confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for client education, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
