Position Summary
The Purchasing & Production Manager is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, production scheduling, and leading the production team. This role ensures we have the right materials, the right inventory, and efficient production processes to meet customer demand while maximizing cash flow and profitability.
A key responsibility is driving continuous improvement by developing better systems, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and creating processes that support future growth.
Primary Responsibilities Inventory & Purchasing
· Manage inventory levels to maximize cash flow while preventing stockouts
· Forecast purchasing needs based on demand and production schedules
· Purchase raw materials and manage supplier relationships
· Negotiate pricing, lead times, and vendor performance
· Improve inventory accuracy and inventory turns
Production Leadership
· Plan and manage daily production schedules
· Lead and develop the production team
· Ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time production
· Remove production bottlenecks and improve workflow
· Promote a safe, accountable, and positive work environment
Continuous Improvement
· Identify and implement process improvements
· Reduce waste and manufacturing costs
· Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
· Build scalable systems and processes for future growth
· Support Lean Manufacturing and automation initiatives
· Collaborate with leadership to improve overall business performance
QualificationsRequired
· Manufacturing, purchasing, or production leadership experience
· Strong inventory management and planning skills
· Leadership and team development experience
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business software
Preferred
· Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
· ERP/MRP software experience
· Purchasing and supplier management experience
· Continuous improvement experience

Compensation & Benefits
· Salary $65,000
