- Upon arrival, screen all campers according to Doctor's procedures

Keep accurate and detailed medical records of all care given or medication distributed.

Maintain an inventory of all medical equipment and supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized Health Center.

Pack first aid kits for all overnights and out-of-camp trips.

Maintain confidentiality with the patient as appropriate.

Adheres to policies related to boundaries with youth.

Participates in required abuse risk management training.

Adheres to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising youth.

Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.

Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements.

- Desire to work with children ages 7-17 and adults of all ages in an outdoor setting.

Well-rounded medical knowledge and emergency first aid techniques

Ability to accept supervision and guidance

Ability to coordinate, organize, and operate a camp health center

Must be at least 21 years of age

Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician and/or First Aid/CPR certified

Documented evidence of having taken the Hepatitis B vaccine series or ability to have first injection before staff training begins (at YMCA expense)

Must live on site
Provide general health care to the camp community following American Red Cross/Nursing protocol.
