Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
Pay: Up to $47/hour Based on experience

Victoria Post Acute Care is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in El Cajon, California, dedicated to providing high quality care through compassion, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Our team supports residents across long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and memory care services throughout the East County community.
We are currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant with skilled nursing or healthcare experience who is clinically strong, patient focused, and passionate about improving functional outcomes.
Position Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence. You will assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a high standard of care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and mobility training
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns
- Help improve patients’ strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Educate patients and families on therapy exercises and safety techniques
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California required
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred
- Strong clinical and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient focused
