Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companisionship and emotional support
- Remind clients to take medications as directed.
- Observe and report changes in clients' conditions.
- Help with mobility and transfers.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment.Skills
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA, HHA or PCA certification required; prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience working with geriatric patients, those requiring hospice or dementia care is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification is essential.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs safely and perform patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when needed.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and documentation
