ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 600 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary: This position oversees the design, implementation and improvement of agency policies, procedures and structures governing the acquisition, management and recognition of donations and grants, mass communications, public media, marketing and legislative strategies.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading all official and formal agency mass communications, both within the agency and externally.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading all agency interactions with and responses to public media.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading all agency marketing and public relation strategies, campaigns, activities and events.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading all agency grant writing and application efforts and strategies.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading all agency fundraising strategies, campaigns, activities and events.

Directing/coordinating/managing/leading agency legislative education, activities and strategies.

Building and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of individuals, agencies and foundations currently, and

potentially, supporting ChildNet’s efforts through the provision of volunteers, donations, and in-kind resources.

Developing alliances and areas of cooperation among local agencies and foundations engaging in similar community resource development activities.

Participating in meetings, activities and initiatives of local, statewide and national and organizations focused on the development of community resources and the provision of health, education and human services to children and their families.

Serving as a customer service role model to ensure positive relationships with all consumers and providers of service.

Working on a consistent basis with regular attendance and punctuality, and willing and able to handle all the duties of this position on a daily basis.

Performing other duties that may be necessary to maintain the success of the organization.

Recognizing, respecting and responding to the unique, culturally defined needs of others served.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
Years of Experience:

Must have a minimum of seven (7) years responsible management experience.

Must be experienced in the solicitation, recruitment and management of donations and volunteers.

Working knowledge of the fundamentals of child welfare, special projects and local community resources PREFERRED.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
