University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Attendants to provide essential in-home support to clients in Chelsea, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a respectful and professional manner.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support clients with mobility and transferring as needed.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and other healthcare needs according to provided instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition promptly.
- Previous experience in direct care or related field is an advantage, but NOT required.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care is a MUST.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Must be able to pass background checks.
- Valid driver’s license or state ID is required for this position.
- Reliable transportation is a plus.
- Competitive hourly wage of $14.00 - $19.00, paid twice per month.
