Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel’s standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Maintain electrical systems by replacing faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and electrical equipment using hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water supply lines to prevent leaks or failures.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
- Lead small maintenance projects or oversee external contractors when specialized work such as HVAC system repair or complex electrical work is required.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, schematics used, and parts inventory for effective operations management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to room or facility maintenance issues.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities equipment upkeep.
- Knowledge of pools
- PTAC troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures
- Familiarity with HVAC system repair, HVAC controls, and building climate regulation technologies.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
