Pay: $90,000–$140,000 per year (base pay + production incentives, DOE)
Sound Auto Care is a family-owned, well-established independent automotive repair shop in SeaTac, WA, looking to add an experienced Automotive Technician to our team.
This position is not entry-level. We are seeking a professional technician with proven hands-on experience who values accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and working in a modern, well-run shop.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–6+ years of professional automotive repair experience (required)
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience with European, Asian, Hybrid, and Light-Duty Diesel vehicles
- Ability to work independently and manage repairs from start to finish
- Own basic hand tools (shop provides specialty tools & equipment)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Reviewing assigned repair orders and performing accurate diagnostics
- Completing digital vehicle inspections (DVI) using tablets/computers to document findings and support service advisor communication
- Communicating repair needs clearly and professionally
- Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
- Test-driving vehicles when required to verify proper operation
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Contributing to a professional, team-focused shop environment
