ROLE: Staff Accountant
LOCATION: Westwood, CA
WORK STATUS: Direct Hire
WORK SITE STATUS: Onsite (5 days/week in the office).
PAY RANGE: $75,000 to $90,000 base salary, plus benefits.
JOB DESCRIPTION
CV Resources, in partnership with our financial services client, seeks an experienced Staff Accountant to support the accounting department. This is a full-cycle accounting role covering month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can operate autonomously with high trust. This role will initially carry a heavy accounts payable workload, so direct full-cycle AP experience is important.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT
General Accounting
● Provide general full-cycle accounting support, including month-end close and account reconciliations.
● Prepare and input journal entries and accruals.
● Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
● Collaborate with the finance team and receive hands-on training and mentorship from a Staff Accountant on the team.
Miscellaneous
● Support ad-hoc reports and projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Required
● Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or related field.
● Strong, principled general accounting skills.
● Direct, full-cycle accounts payable experience.

● Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
