Freight Forwarding Company is looking for an energetic individual to join our team who would be a single point of contact for warehouse shipping and receiving. Our ideal candidate should possess strong skills, experience and knowledge of Foreign Military Sales, Hazardous Material Regulations and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Other important skills, good written and spoken communication skills, exceptional ability to problem solve issues as they arise quickly, work independently as well as part of a team, and possess a high attention to detail, facilitate work in a timely and cost-effective manner. Customer service excellence attitude.
General Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, scan and process small parcel and skidded freight
- Accurately plan, pre-stow, scan and stuff containerized shipments
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Counting and confirming inventory
- Inspecting good receipts for damage and faults
- Communicating errors to relevant parties
- Marking and labeling stock
- Storing goods receipts in accessible and safe manner
- Loading and wrapping stock on pallets
- Training and Awareness of Hazardous Material handling and safety procedures
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Proper labeling and administering paperwork for outgoing shipments
- Handling stock with care to avoid damages
- Continuous lifting, lowering and bending
Import Department Warehouse Responsibilities
- Perform import receiving breakdown process
- Detect, report and follow-up with import manager on warehouse breakdown issues such as but not limited to incorrect piece count, weight, and dims for correction
- Perform general import data entry functions
-Cross train to become the back-up for the Import Manager performing all essential duties of the import repair/return business.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 5 plus years or more warehouse experience
- 5 plus years or more forklift and warehouse other implement experience
- Strong PC Skills to include Microsoft Suite and Warehouse Management
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to Detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Self Starter, ability to some with little or no direction
- Strong customer service orientation
-Import processing experience a plus
This is a direct hire opportunity and the salary is based on experience.
