Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a genuine smile and positive attitude, making them feel valued from arrival to departure
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host or Hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is preferred
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience with serving or guest services is advantageous
