The dinkers® Mission:
To provide meaningful professional development opportunities to neurodivergent young adults.
The Vibe:
We have fun! The team is young, eager to grow, mission-driven, and endlessly coachable. At Dinkers, the glazed nuts are just the vehicle—the real product is the professional development we provide for our neurodivergent team (Autism, OCD, ADHD, etc.).
What is dinkers®?:
A mission-driven consumer packaged good brand specializing in glazed nut products. The business started in 2023 as a farmers market pop-up and has now developed into a thriving event, e-commerce, and wholesale business. All along the way, the young team has always had a majority employment of neurodivergent young adults. Please visit our instagram page @dinkers.co to see what work is like!
Your Mission:
Work directly alongside the founder of a growing local business. This isn't a typical weekend job where you're stuck in a corner; it is a hands-on crash course in entrepreneurship, strategy, and mentoring. You are a growth partner. You’ll be managing and mentoring neurodivergent young adults as they navigate professional development while making effective business decisions. To be an effective mentor, you simply need a positive personality and unbeatable work ethic. This opportunity would be valuable for anyone pursuing a future in business, psychology, and/or communications.
What You’ll Do (The First 3 Months):
You get to make your schedule. Most of your work will be in events. Long shifts on the weekends – occasionally weekdays. Preparing and transporting the event setup and team.
By month three, you’ll be the captain of your own ship. You will:
- Work Independently: Take ownership of operations and mentoring without needing a hand to hold.
- Master the Mentorship: Implement our Neurodevelopmental Mentoring model—focusing on the student’s professional development (like customer service and hygiene) and your own leadership development.
- Operate Like a Pro: Have a deep, intuitive understanding of all business operations involved in your role.
- Fail Forward: Use every hiccup or "failure" as a team reflection point to improve our processes and support.
- Own the Customer Experience: At the end of the day, the business only exists if money is being made. You are responsible for ensuring customers have a positive dinkers® experience.
Who You Are
- Solution-Minded: You don’t just spot problems; you bring three ways to fix them.
- Radically Honest: You communicate clearly and directly, even when it’s awkward.
- Coachable: You have a high motor for growth and actually enjoy receiving feedback.
- Invested: You care about fulfilling the neurodivergent mission while also making smart business decisions.
- Resilient: You see mistakes as data points, not disasters.
