Another Source's client, Stanford Health Care, is recruiting a Senior Technology and Digital Solutions (TDS) Vendor Management Specialist – Strategic Sourcing to join their team in Palo Alto, California.
This is a hybrid opportunity, with approximately one day per week on campus.

About this role:
This newly created position is part of the continued growth of Stanford Health Care's Technology and Digital Solutions (TDS) organization. Reporting within the Vendor Management Office (VMO), you'll join a collaborative team of seven professionals supporting both Procurement Operations and Strategic Sourcing initiatives across the technology landscape.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape sourcing strategy, influence key technology investments, and build strong vendor partnerships that support Stanford's mission. Approximately 60–70% of the work is focused on software sourcing and vendor management, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys navigating complex technology agreements, driving cost optimization, and partnering closely with technical stakeholders.
Your Contribution Will Likely Include:

Partner with TDS leaders and technical teams to understand software, hardware, and services requirements and develop sourcing strategies that align with organizational priorities.

Lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives for software, technology services, subscriptions, consulting engagements, and hardware purchases.

Manage vendor relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout procurement, contracting, and renewal activities.

Facilitate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including planning, vendor engagement, evaluation, and selection.

Analyze vendor proposals, contracts, pricing structures, and licensing models to support informed business decisions.

Conduct spend analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, cost savings, and total cost of ownership improvements.

Negotiate contract terms, service agreements, renewals, warranties, and subscription agreements.

Coordinate vendor meetings, stakeholder reviews, and quote validation sessions across cross-functional teams.

Maintain awareness of technology market trends and cultivate relationships with qualified suppliers and strategic partners.

Support supplier performance management and help drive continuous improvement across vendor partnerships.

Contribute to enterprise-wide efforts focused on operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and value creation.
Experience You Will Bring:

Associate's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Six (6) or more years of progressively responsible experience in vendor management, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply management, contract administration, or a related discipline.

Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts, service agreements, and technology-related purchases.

Knowledge of software licensing models, hardware procurement practices, and technology vendor ecosystems.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, spend data, and sourcing opportunities.

Experience leading sourcing projects, RFIs, RFPs, or vendor selection processes.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong business judgment, problem-solving skills, and decision-making capabilities.

Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.

Experience with consulting agreements, statements of work (SOWs), billing processes, and vendor performance management is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:

CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification.

CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification.

Experience supporting technology organizations or IT procurement functions within complex healthcare, higher education, or enterprise environments.
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $130,520.00 – $172,972.80 annually
