Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician with 5 years experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain lines and refrigerant piping.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges to assess system performance.
- Repair or replace mechanical components including motors, compressors, valves, welders, and other equipment parts.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations related to refrigerants like ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems.
- Assist in HVAC system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or new technology advancements.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to various job sites.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration techniques including ammonia refrigeration is essential.
- Familiarity with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and general equipment repair is advantageous.
- Prior field service experience working with air conditioning units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration units is required.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
