Pav-Co Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our underground utility division. Candidates should have experience installing water mains, sanitary sewer, force main, and storm drainage systems on heavy civil construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install water mains, sanitary sewer lines, force main, storm drainage pipe, and related underground utility systems
- Work with ductile iron, RCP, PVC, HDPE, and other piping materials
- Read and follow blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with project specifications, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites and staging areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job progress, concerns, or field issues
- Assist with general labor duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of pipe laying experience in underground utility construction
- Experience working on City, County, Private, or DOT utility projects preferred
- Knowledge of water, sewer, force main, and storm drainage installation practices
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, as needed
- Valid driver’s license preferred, but not required
Pay:
$25–$30/hour, based on experience
