Job Description:
The Plastek Group is seeking a full-time Training Specialist located in Erie, PA.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for the facilitation of division-wide training initiatives, implementation, tracking, monitoring, inputting and developing. Such training may include manufacturing/job enhancements, corporate human resources, health or safety policies, etc.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform thorough needs assessments by conferring routinely with divisional management to gain knowledge and insight of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
- Formulates training plans to determine instructional needs and methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
- Select and/or develop/design training materials such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, online tools, models and programs.
- Coordinates and implements divisional standardization for training requirements and divisional training personnel.
- Coordinate, review, and collaborate with SMD division training personnel to guide and review progress of training programs.
- Schedule, track, monitor, and follow-up on enrollment and progress of trainees.
- Participate in meetings and develop reports for management.
- Inputs, tracks and monitors the Company’s Training and Events SAP function.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college/university.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in teaching, administration, or similar field.
