The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
A highly organized and enthusiastic research coordinator (RC) is needed to carry out and oversee clinical research studies for the Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center. The RC will report to the CP Center Director of Research and the CP Center Manager.
Responsibilities
- Research Regulatory Compliance: Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol write-up and submission, informed consent development, completion of appropriate HIPAA Forms and Data Usage Agreements, submission of renewals, modifications, close-out reports, assuring that studies are being performed in accordance with IRB policies, and maintenance of data and study files.
- Team Leadership: On-boarding, management, and evaluation of research assistants, medical school, college and high school volunteers; oversee and support student scholarly projects.
- Study-Specific Responsibilities: Subject screening and recruitment, obtainment of informed consent, administration of surveys, assist with data collection, chart reviews, and basic data analysis. Comprehensive electronic medical record review for participant information, oversee the organization, processing and tracking of biological samples, updates tracking systems and oversees data management and research databases.
- Providing Administrative Assistance to Study PIs and CP Center Director of Research: Preparation and submission of abstracts, manuscripts for publication, and grants to sponsors, update attendings’ CVs and conflict of interest disclosures, ensure research agreements and contracts are execute in collaboration with the Grants Administrator, and serving as the main administrative contact for the research team.
- Education Administration: Organize educational activities pertaining to the research studies, seminar series, and education conferences.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; plus three years experience in research or combination of equivalent education and employment experience.
Other Requirements
- Must be highly organized with attention to details.
- Mastery of spoken and written English required.
- Computer skills are required including proficiency of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, EPIC (electronic medical record) and Adobe Acrobat.
