Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time, 2nd Shift
Pay: $35.00-$41.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (Non-exempt)
Schedule: Two week days plus weekend 3p-12a
Express Healthcare has partnered with an organization that is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care and support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our collaborative care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Distribute prescribed medications, maintain accurate inventory, and document medication programs.
- Direct Resident Care: Provide first aid, emergency care, and support for medically oriented client groups.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of medication distribution, accidents, illnesses, seizures, and progress indicators.
- Staff Training: Orient new staff on medical procedures, safety protocols, and resident care concerns.
- Safety & Compliance: Participate in the Safety Committee, maintain medical supplies/first aid kits, and assist with emergency evacuations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate nursing experience (Required); mid-level RN experience preferred.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and meet general employment requirements.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand intermittently for up to 1.5 hours, walk/run ~25 yards during emergencies, and provide physical personal care to residents.
Pay: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour
