Customer Experience Specialist - Urgent Care
We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Customer Experience Specialist to join our fast-paced urgent care team. Responsibilities
· Welcome walk-in patients and visitors with a professional, courteous attitude.
· Answer phones, respond to questions, and communicate wait time expectations clearly.
· Register patients quickly and accurately, including check-in, check-out, and demographic updates.
· Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and process payments accurately.
· Maintain patient records and documentation in the EMR/EHR system.
· Support efficient patient flow by coordinating with providers, medical assistants, and clinical staff.
· Assist with referrals, scanning, faxing, and other urgent care front office duties.
· Keep the reception area organized, welcoming, and ready for high patient volume.
· Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 1+ year of medical office experience required; urgent care or high-volume clinic experience preferred.
· Strong insurance verification, patient intake, scheduling, and point-of-service collection skills required.
· Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
· Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
· Dependable, punctual, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
· Bilingual skills are a plus.
