Position Summary
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and projects while continuing to develop your machining skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including mills and lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Verify dimensions and quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Make machine adjustments and tool offsets as needed to maintain part quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Monitor production runs to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous CNC machining experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mazak CNC equipment
- Experience machining a variety of metals and materials
- CNC programming experience is a plus
