Casa Del Matador located at the Village in Meridian, is looking for a part-time Dishwasher to join our team! We are a high volume restaurant, and bring an elevated Tex-Mex atmosphere to the community, with the largest tequila bar in the state. We are looking for someone that can pay attention to detail, while keeping up with the volume of our restaurant.

POSITION PURPOSE Our Dishwashers contribute to OMR’s Mission and support exceptional hospitality for our Guests by maintaining clean and sanitary service items. They are solely responsible for the cleanliness and storage of China, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other equipment and service items. Our Dishwashers utilize manual cleaning methods as well as automated machinery to maintain OMR’s standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operations Execution:
- Follows all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds.
- Sweeps and mops the restaurant’s floors.
- Cleans, organizes and maintains walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep and dry storage areas.
- Removes trash and recycle to dumpster.
- Refills restroom products as needed and ensures the cleanliness of the stalls, floors and sinks.
- Supports Prep and Line Cooks as needed.
- Sets up, breaks down, cleans and polishes the dish machine; changes the dishwater on an hourly basis.
- Monitors dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures.
- Ensures that temperatures and ppm levels for sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks are at the specific requirements to comply with health code. Notifies supervisors whenever the dish machine does not perform as intended.
- Exercises appropriate sanitation practices for dish handling by maintaining the dish area in a clean, sanitary and safe manner.
- Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
- Organizes clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in their designated areas.
- Stocks all supplies, dishes, equipment, tools, and utensils in their designated areas on the kitchen line.
- Delivers clean items to kitchen line as needed.
- Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Follows OMR standards and completes assigned checklists and sidework throughout the shift.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- At least 21 years of age in applicable stores; 18+ in Casa del Matadors.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant concept.
- Maintains a current Food Handlers Card.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Flexible and able to work extended or irregular hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrates clear understanding of and can effectively implement written and verbal instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT /WORKING CONDITIONS
- Store and office environment.
- Extended periods of walking and standing, to include freezers and refrigerators.
- May also require some reaching, bending, squatting and lifting a minimum of 50lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands and simple grasping with hands.
- Frequent hand washing required.
- Some exposure to chemicals, fire, gases and odors.
