Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and stripping to preserve the appearance of various flooring surfaces
- Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate methods and equipment to ensure a fresh and professional environment
- Maintain high standards of janitorial services by sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly
- Use environmental services techniques to reduce allergens and improve indoor air quality
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or damage
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as needed to support facility upkeep
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, and buffing equipment operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with environmental services practices and safety protocols is a plus
