Planning & Scheduling
Develops, maintains, and communicates weekly and daily maintenance schedules for assigned area maintenance teams, balancing preventive maintenance, corrective work, priority needs, and academic constraints. Plans maintenance work in advance to improve schedule efficiency, reduce delays, limit repeat visits, and minimize disruption to classrooms, laboratories, and offices. Coordinates access, outage schedules, utility interruptions, and customer notifications before scheduled work begins. Identifies opportunities to group work geographically, by priority, trade, or by system to improve workforce productivity and reduce travel time across campus. Monitors deferred work, recurring issues, and backlog trends, and schedules work priorities based on operational impact, available resources, and institutional needs. Supports preventive maintenance planning by ensuring PM tasks are scheduled at appropriate intervals and aligned with seasonal needs, building occupancy, and equipment criticality. Develops and maintains preventive maintenance material and parts lists to support appropriate inventory levels, ensure required parts are available when needed, and promote effective and timely completion of scheduled PM work. Adjust assignments as needed in response to emergencies, staffing changes, material delays, campus events, or shifting
operational priorities.
