Position Overview: Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll receive hands-on training in the No Limits™ Method — our unique approach that blends dynamic instructional strategies with therapeutic interventions to foster academic success and independence.
You’ll work side-by-side with experienced teachers and therapists in a collaborative, faith-centered environment, helping students grow academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
What You’ll Do
- Support teachers in enhancing student academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist with the implementation of therapy goals (physical, occupational, and speech)
- Prepare adaptive equipment and assist with safe lifting and student transfers (training provided)
- Provide personal care: feeding, medical assistance, bathroom support, and emotional encouragement
- Help organize classroom materials, closets, and dignity rooms (private spaces for personal care)
- Use assistive and educational technology
- Communicate effectively with team members, students, and families
- Participate in professional development, weekly planning, and training sessions
- Model and promote Christian values in daily interactions and classroom culture
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level II Background Clearance (or ability to obtain)- https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear vision and physical mobility (bending, twisting, quick movement, and jumping for safety)
- Ability to lift at least 45 lbs
- Willingness to assist with personal care and student mobility
- Consistent attendance and reliable transportation
- Adherence to professional boundaries, FERPA, HIPAA, and ethical standards
- Compliance with health and safety protocols (including immunizations and wellness screenings)
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace (random testing may apply)
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and feedback
- Preferred:
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Comfortable with technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative, proactive, and team-oriented
- A heart for service and a passion for learning
Schedule & Start Date
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Academic Calendar: 10-month school year
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour (based on experience)
- School Calendar PTO: 5 weeks paid time off
- Health Insurance: $250 monthly stipend
- Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $1,200 annually

- Small Class Sizes: 1 Teacher, 2 Assistants, 8 Students per classroom (Additional Nurses and/or Behavioral Specialist present within the classroom as well)
