Job Title: Sports Arena and Office Cleaning Services Staff

The Cleaning Services Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in a high-traffic basketball arena and its associated office spaces. This role ensures that all areas, including seating areas, concourses, restrooms, locker rooms, event spaces, and administrative offices, meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation for athletes, staff, spectators, and visitors. The position requires flexibility to work during and after events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the arena’s schedule.Key Responsibilities:

Arena Cleaning:

Clean and sanitize seating areas, removing trash, food debris, and spills after events.

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in concourses, entryways, and event spaces.

Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, restocking supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).

Wipe down railings, glass panels, and other high-touch surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.

Clean locker rooms, team benches, and press areas, ensuring they meet hygiene standards for athletes and staff.

Remove and dispose of trash and recyclables from bins throughout the arena and surrounding areas.

Office Cleaning:

Dust and clean desks, shelves, windowsills, and other surfaces in administrative offices.

Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, and spot-clean walls or furniture as needed.

Empty office trash cans and replace liners, ensuring proper waste disposal.

Clean and sanitize office restrooms and break rooms, including kitchenette areas.

Maintain office common areas, such as conference rooms and lobbies, to ensure a professional appearance.

Event Preparation and Turnover:

Prepare the arena for events by ensuring all areas are clean and presentable before spectators arrive.

Perform rapid post-event cleaning to restore the facility for the next use, including quick sweeps of seating areas and restrooms.

Set up and break down cleaning stations or equipment as needed for large events.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers).

Adhere to OSHA and facility-specific health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of biohazardous waste (e.g., in restrooms or medical areas).

Report maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or hazardous conditions, to the supervisor.

Inventory and Equipment Maintenance:

Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report low inventory to the supervisor.

Maintain and clean equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and scrubbers, to ensure operational efficiency.
Work Environment:

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a large arena setting, with exposure to crowds, noise, and varying temperatures.

Office cleaning involves quieter, climate-controlled environments but requires attention to detail for professional spaces.

Fast-paced environment during events, with quieter periods for deep cleaning during non-event days.
Compensation:
Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, ideally in high-traffic venues like stadiums, arenas, or large offices.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods; comfortable working in large, multi-level facilities.

Skills: Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines (e.g., post-event turnovers).

Availability: Flexible schedule to accommodate event-driven hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
