Compassionate Caregiver Needed for Individual with Dementia/Alzheimer's
We are looking for a highly reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregiver to provide quality care for an individual living with Dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease.
Full time position, Monday through Friday, 9:15 am to 5:15 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, and toileting).
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, if needeD
- Provide companionship and engage the client in meaningful activities.
- Redirect and calmly manage behaviors associated with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Monitor the client's safety and well-being at all times.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean living environment.
- Communicate effectively with family members and report any changes in the client's condition.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for individuals with Dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease is required.
- Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
