Landscape Construction Technician I (Entry Level)

Every project is different. At the end of the day, you'll have the satisfaction of standing back and saying, "I helped build that."
This is an entry-level Landscape Construction Technician I position. No pond-building experience is necessary—we'll teach you the trade. What we're looking for is someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a proven history of dependable employment.
As you master new skills and demonstrate reliability, you'll have the opportunity to advance to Technician II and continue growing within our company. Many of our future leaders start right here.
This is a full-time, year-round position working Monday through Friday with regular overtime opportunities that average 50 to 55 hours per week. That means that there is lots of overtime pay.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in building custom ponds, waterfalls, streams, and landscape features
- Learning to work safely around construction equipment
- Assist installing pumps, filters, and plumbing systems
- Excavation, rock placement, and grading
- Jobsite organization
- Working as part of a professional construction team
- Learning a skilled trade with opportunities for advancement
What We're Looking For
- Recent outdoor, labor-intensive work experience
- Comfortable working in Oklahoma's heat and weather
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Able to follow directions and stay on task
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of one consecutive year with the same employer within the last two years
- Verifiable employment history
- Valid driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds
- Able to bend, dig, stoop, and perform physical work throughout the day
- Comfortable handling fish
- Willing to get dirty and work outdoors every day
- Experience operating a skid steer or mini excavator is a plus, but not required
- Must be willing to sign a non-compete agreement
