American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 26-bed step-down unit, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

26-bed all-private-room step-down unit (one level below ICU)
-
All patients are on telemetry with continuous heart monitoring
-
Patient population includes GI bleed, COVID, respiratory distress, and patients requiring critical drips
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Previous nursing experience preferred, but not required

Candidate must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities

Delegates tasks to and oversees team members in the delivery of patient care

Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

Collaborates with an inter-professional care team including Case Management
