About the Role
Audette Electrical Services Inc is seeking a licensed E-2 Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Connecticut. The ideal candidate is a skilled, safety-focused tradesperson capable of working independently and as part of a crew on residential and light commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Connecticut state regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform troubleshooting and repairs
- Install conduit, panels, breakers, switches, outlets, and other electrical components
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with project supervisors, contractors, and other trades on job sites
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task
- Mentor apprentices and support their on-the-job training as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut E-2 Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- 1+ years of hands-on journeyman-level electrical experience
- Residential and light commercial electrical experience
- Strong working knowledge of the NEC and CT electrical code requirements
- Ability to read blueprints and technical/electrical schematics
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to [50] lbs and work in various physical conditions (ladders, confined spaces, outdoor sites)
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Comfortable using computers and digital tools, with the ability to research manufacturer documentation, technical manuals, and other online resources to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues
