Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our residential and light commercial construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed on time. Responsibilities
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
- Develop detailed project estimates using estimating software such as Buildertrend or similar tools, ensuring precision in cost calculations.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms that benefit all parties.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed cost breakdowns, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data critical for accurate estimation.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with construction estimating software is a plus, however, we are willing to train the right person.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints.
- Expertise in cost management, material cost estimating, and budgeting for light commercial construction projects.
- Solid understanding of construction industry standards, contracts, project management principles, and site safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Hands-on construction site experience to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
