Job Description: This position provides in-home care and support to a Heart to Home Care client as an independent contractor, as needed. This is an ongoing/long-term opportunity based on the client’s continued need for care.

Pay: $20/hour | Bi-monthly
Available Shifts:
- Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (weekly)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, respectful, and dependable in-home support based on the client’s individual needs. Duties may include:
- Assistance with ADLs, personal care, hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Medication reminders, as appropriate
- Light housekeeping related to the client’s care
- Companionship and social engagement
- Mobility and transfer assistance, as applicable
- Accompanying the client to appointments/outings and occasional errands
- Observing and communicating changes in the client’s condition or behavior
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Respecting the client’s privacy, dignity, home, and personal boundaries
- Professional communication with the client, family, and Heart to Home Care
- Following applicable HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements and protecting the client’s personal health information
Duties may vary based on the client’s needs from day to day.
Experience:
Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred, including:
- Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Nurse Aide
- Caregiver
- Direct Care Worker
- Other comparable healthcare or home-care experience
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements – Please Review Carefully:
This position involves physically demanding caregiving duties, including:
- Going up and down stairs while assisting the client.
- Pushing and pulling a 200+ lb client using a wheelchair or other mobility equipment.
- Maneuvering the client up and down ramps and hallways.
- Assisting with mobility and positioning as needed.
- Maintaining safe body mechanics and following proper safety procedures.
Applicants must be physically capable of performing these duties safely and consistently.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but not required.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and current auto insurance are required.
