Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated night time Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook at Public Kitchen & Bar, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen. You will work alongside other culinary professionals to ensure that each dish meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, menu specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are properly stored.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Cook meat and other proteins to the correct temperature, ensuring all dishes meet safety standards and guest expectations.
- Maintain positive communication and work relationships with kitchen staff and other restaurant teams.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to effectively work with team members.
- A reliable ride to work to ensure punctuality and consistency.
- Ability to cook meat to the correct temperature, with an understanding of various cooking methods for proteins.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, as required for stocking, carrying ingredients, and organizing the kitchen.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A passion for food and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and certain holidays.
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate with a team.
