Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and supporting kitchen cleanliness
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and assist with food preparation or other duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively restaurant atmosphere
