JOB 40 Hours | Typical schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Schedule may fluctuate to meet division needs: day, evening, and possible weekend hours. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The Lab Coordinator facilitates the use of the Manufacturing and Advanced Technology classrooms and labs by maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles. This individual will identify vendors and obtain quotes for the purchase of tools, equipment, and supply inventories following College purchasing policies. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in a CTE program or a closely related field or equivalent

OSHA certified forklift training and operation within 60 days of start date

One year of work experience in a lab environment
Skills and Specifications:-
Basic skills in word processing, spreadsheets and other computer functions, to keep the lab operating efficiently

Ability to learn technological applications such as equipment and maintenance catalog software, operation and testing of equipment, computer, and software used in CTE classrooms and labs

Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and to prioritize

Ability to work with multiple faculty and staff members simultaneously

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with persons contacted in the course of work

Willingness to continually train for technological equipment updates

Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment problems

Must be a self-starter and able to work independently in the labs and classrooms

Ability to safely lift 50 pounds unassisted

Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license
