Job Description
Large and established commercial HVAC contractor serving the Greater Houston area is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Start-Up Technician to join the team. This role is critical to our operation, as the technician will be responsible for equipment start-ups, system commissioning, and ensuring all installations are completed to set standards.

- Comprehensive experience on commercial HVAC equipment needed - start-ups and commissioning (RTUs, splits, mini splits, etc.)- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals- Solid troubleshooting skills & attention to detail / pride in workmanship
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and sense of ownership- Professional communication skills- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with our install and service teams
- Provide technical support and training to facility managers or end-users on system operation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Requirements
Experience: 3 or more years of experience in commercial HVAC service or installation with solid exposure to startups (1 year experience considered if overall commercial HVAC experience is greater than 3 years) and the ability to perform the process correctly the first time using the recommended steps and ensuring all equipment is operating per manufacturer specifications
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, refrigeration cycles, electrical troubleshooting, and HVAC control sequences.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
