Market Attendant Position Overview:
French Bakery | Part-Time |
Do you love artisan bread, fresh pastries, and creating memorable customer experiences? Our authentic French bakery is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Farmers Market Attendant to represent our brand at local farmers markets.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and being part of a fast-paced, environment and working independently.
What You'll Do
- Set up and break down our bakery booth before and after each market
- Display breads, pastries, sandwiches, and other bakery items in an attractive and organized manner
- Welcome customers with friendly, knowledgeable service
- Answer questions about our products, ingredients, and bakery
- Recommend products and upsell seasonal favorites
- Process transactions using our point-of-sale system
- Maintain accurate cash handling and inventory counts
- Restock products throughout the market as needed
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and inviting
- Load and unload bakery products and equipment safely
- Represent our bakery with professionalism and enthusiasm
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling cash and using a tablet or POS system
- Previous retail, café, bakery, or farmers market experience is a plus—but we're happy to train the right person!
Schedule
- Evenings are required (12:30 pm - 8:30 pm)
- Monday, Tuesday and Fridays
- Market runs through November
- Additional weekend opportunities may become available
