ALTI-2 Technologies has built the world's most reliable skydiving altimeters since 1957. From our company-owned headquarters in DeLand, Florida, we design and manufacture precision altimeters and instrumentation for sport skydiving and military freefall operations, with distribution and repair operations in Germany and the UK. The Role
We're looking for a hands-on General Manager / COO to run the day-to-day business, working directly with the President/Owner. This is a true small-company leadership role: broad, practical, and hands-on. You will own finance, HR, sport-market sales, our facility, IT, and our ISO 9001 quality system. In a company our size there is no one to delegate the details to — you will do the work as well as direct it.
Responsibilities
- Finance — own day-to-day financial management: budgeting, cash flow, AR/AP, margins, pricing support, and monthly reporting to the owner
- People / HR — hiring, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits, and compliance for a small, close-knit team
- Sport sales — grow sales in the sport skydiving market through dealers, distributors, drop zones, events, and direct channels
- Property & facilities — manage our company-owned DeLand building, including maintenance, safety, contracts, and vendors
- IT & systems — administer and improve the systems the business runs on (ERP/accounting, e-commerce, network, hardware)
- Quality — maintain our ISO 9001 quality management system: documented processes, clean audits, current certification
- General management — coordinate across production, engineering, and overseas operations; solve the problem of the day, whatever it is
Requirements
- Local to the DeLand, FL area — this is a fully on-site role
- Proven general management or operations leadership experience in a small business
- Working command of small-business finance: budgets, cash flow, and P&L
- Experience managing people — hiring, developing, and handling the practical realities of HR
- Strong IT skills — comfortable administering business systems and troubleshooting without outside help
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves working style and sound, independent judgment
Nice to Have
- Background in the small electronics industry — manufacturing, assembly, or sales of electronic devices
- Connection to skydiving, aviation, or outdoor-sports equipment — or real enthusiasm to learn
- Sales experience in a dealer/distributor channel
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Experience with international distribution or overseas operations
