The Advertising & Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting Boyd's digital marketing, advertising, social media, CRM, eCommerce, lead management and marketing communications initiatives. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Rental, Used Equipment, Customer Service, Regional Sales Managers and Machinery Sales Representatives to maintain accurate customer data, support CRM users, strengthen customer engagement and execute communications and marketing strategies that drive business growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or equivalent industry experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, CRM or related business support preferred
- Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
- Ability to climb on and inspect equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Ability to travel with overnight stays
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM platform preferred.
- Experience with social media management, digital marketing, lead generation activities or related marketing technologies preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support users across the organization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage lead intake activities by monitoring multiple lead sources, qualifying inquiries, entering and maintaining accurate CRM records and routing opportunities to the appropriate sales representatives for timely follow-up.
- Engage potential customers through email, chat, social media, online communities, direct messages, reviews and other digital channels to generate leads, build relationships, respond to inquiries and support a positive customer experience.
- Nurture leads through the sales funnel, track interactions and progress in the CRM system and follow up with outside sales representatives as needed.
- Maintain CRM data integrity by supporting data quality standards, performing regular audits, assisting with data cleansing efforts and using multiple data sources to maintain accurate customer information.
- Maintain CRM training documentation and provide user support to help employees understand CRM processes, expectations and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting and strengthen CRM, sales, marketing and eCommerce processes.
- Support the development and execution of eCommerce strategies in partnership with the marketing team.
- Develop and maintain equipment listings, promotional content and related marketing materials across digital channels, social media platforms, Boyd’s digital properties and third-party advertising sites to generate customer interest and support lead generation.
- Develop internal engagement and culture communications that support employee morale and promote one great team across the organization.
- Collaborate with the Used Equipment team, Machinery Sales Representatives, ISRs, Marketing, Rental, Customer Service, branch teams and other departments to identify equipment promotion opportunities, support lead generation efforts and ensure customer inquiries are addressed effectively.
- Gather asset information, photos and related details to support external promotions and marketing content.
- Maintain a working knowledge of company products to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain technical proficiency with CRM systems, related technologies and software updates to support users, troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Complete all required training.
- Maintain discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information and demonstrate initiative, integrity and accountability in all assigned areas.
- Recommend improvements to department procedures and business practices and support continuous improvement activities and processes.
- Project a positive, professional image when interacting with employees, customers, vendors and management.
- Maintain strong verbal and written communication with departments, branches, employees, vendors and customers by addressing and resolving concerns promptly.
- Follow all work and safety rules, policies and procedures.
