FPT – Cleveland has an immediate opening for an Inspector (Sheet Pad). The primary function of this position will be to inspect materials received to ensure conformance within stated specifications. Specific responsibilities will include:
Essential Duties include:
- Verifies physical properties, quality and grade of scrap materials such as plates, sheets, structural shapes, castings, forgings, dies;
- Directs loader operator when to push up material for the shredder;
- Directs trucks/peddlers where to dump material;
- Collects and verifies driver/peddler paperwork for material brought in and completes inspection tickets for the grading of material;
- Inspects material for non-conformance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED and/or 1 to 2 years related experience;
- Ability to work in various weather conditions;
- Knowledge of scrap metals;
- Able to pass required background, drug and physical.
