Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the Quapaw Casino gaming floor, offices, public restrooms, food and beverage areas, and general perimeter.
DUTIES And Responsibilities
· Responsible for dusting and wiping down furniture and equipment.
· Sweeps, scrubs, polishes floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
· Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooer.
· Responsible for polishing metalwork such as fixtures and fittings, and washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
· Must transport trash and waste to disposal area.
· Must observe safety and security procedures; follows basic safety precautions.
· Greets every customer that he/she encounters in the facility with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude.
· Maintains a professional work environment with Managers and staff.
· Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
· Attend all necessary training meetings and assist in other projects as directed.
· Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

· Must be a minimum of 18years of age upon employment.
· High school diploma or its equivalent required.
· Must possess excellent communication skills.
· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
· Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
· Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with others.
· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.
· Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

· Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.

· Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working; constant pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping and climbing.
· Frequent exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt and chemicals associated with cleaning agents, dust, and fumes; may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
· Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
